Truth is stranger than fiction....13 states have passed legislation to prevent local municipalities from regulating plastic. Yep, no reducing plastic in these states: Idaho, North Dakota, Minnesota, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana, Maryland, Arizona, Tennessee, Okalohoma, Mississippi, or Texas. Maybe the legislators should read this article and then explain to their kids why getting that single use plastic bag at the store is a good idea. Have we become a nation of people that can't switch to reusable bags? The people in the "Great" generation didn't have single use plastic bags - maybe the people passing these laws are members of the "not so great". You decide.
