Coca-cola, the world's biggest corporate plastic polluter, says that it won't abandon single-use plastic bottles because people like them. People like lots of things that aren't good for them and thus aren't allowed to just buy them on demand - prescription drugs, explosives, dangerous chemicals. Given that we are drowning in plastic, perhaps we need to start putting limits on single-use plastic bottles. The numbers are staggering: Coca-cola produces 200,000 bottles a MINUTE. Let's all contact Coca-cola and tell them that while plastic bottles are convenient, we really can't afford to keep using these single use plastic bottles if we want to survive on this planet.
