A recent article in the Wall Street Journal alerted us to the fact that some interior designers have always hated pump soaps and are happy that eco-conscious consumers are starting to return to bar soap. Of course, bar soap requires an attractive soap dish but that is a small price to pay for keeping all those disposible pump bottles out of the trash. There appears to be many options for soap dishes, including repurposed small trays. If you self identify as a germaphobe, no need to worry - a study showed that E. Coli is not transferred from the bar to the person.
