In the world of recycling, the item being recycled degrades and this degaded material needs to be made into something that is useful. So for example, in India, plastic bottles are turned into bangles. And as you probabily realize, there needs to be a demand for the product that is being created. Wolven offers a line of clothing that is created from recycled BPA-free bottles! They take the bottles, transform them into yarn, and weave them into fabric to create functional clothing. Not only are they functional, but they are sexy! While this blog doesn't advocate the use of plastic, we do recognize that at this point in time large amounts of plastic is being used and we need to find a way to recycle the plastic into something that people need.
